Melodi Lowery

Melodi Renee' Lowery is a dedicated North Carolina educator with 23 years of experience teaching both 8th grade and high school science. She holds a Master of Arts in Science Education and has a deep, enduring passion for Biology. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences, often taking her students outdoors for activities such as animal dissections and releasing butterflies they have raised from caterpillars to adulthood. Her innovative teaching has been recognized with three LREMC Bright Ideas grants, and she was honored as Teacher of the Year for the 2016–2017 school year.
