Chanel Jones

Chanel Jones is a middle school teacher at Broadview Middle School in Alamance-Burlington School System, where she teaches in the same community that raised her. As the 2025 Piedmont-Triad Regional Teacher of the Year, she is deeply committed to creating classrooms rooted in belonging, dignity, and opportunity for all students. Chanel is the founder of initiatives such as the Cozy Kitchen and Fresh Start Laundry Service, which address students’ basic needs so they can fully engage in learning. She is also an advocate for educational equity across North Carolina, serving on the Governor’s Teacher Advisory Council and using her voice to elevate the stories and needs of her students. Through her work, she strives to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
