Jennifer Nichols

Spanish Teacher, Harris Road Middle School

Jennifer Nichols is a 22-year teaching veteran at Harris Road Middle School in Concord, NC, Cabarrus County who truly loves making connections across cultures and content areas. After spending 20 years as a high school English, Spanish, and ESL instructor, Jennifer is currently teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Spanish. She has served on numerous cohorts, as a NCMA Educator Advisor, a UNC World View Sustainable Development Goals Fellow, a Transatlantic Educators Dialogue cohort member, a Teachers Collaborating Across Borders fellow, a National Humanities Center Teacher Advisory Council member, and is currently a Bridges, Borders, and Migration fellow with the UNC Center for Middle East & Islamic Studies and UNC African Studies Centers. Jennifer is extremely excited about the opportunity to learn, share, and continue making connections to North Carolina and beyond throughout her time as a DNCR Teacher Ambassador! In her down time, she loves spending time outdoors with her husband and daughters exploring nature, gardening, or simply sitting and enjoying each other’s company.
