Take A Child Outside

What is Take a Child Outside Week?

September 24 - 30 Annually

Inspired by Richard Louv’s book Last Child in the Woods, Take A Child Outside Week was created to reconnect children with the natural world. This initiative encourages outdoor play, highlights places to explore, and shares simple activities anyone can enjoy. Our goal is to make nature a part of everyday life—helping children (and adults!) experience the joy and benefits of being outdoors. We hope these resources spark year-round adventures in nature for all ages.
